Body cell and a muscle fiber comparison

The Image Overlay provides a means for an image to be separated into meaningful regions for associated regional highlighting. This Interactive Media Object is broken down into; an image figure with alt text and figure caption descriptions, a menu to be navigated via the Tab key which highlights each region.

A comparison of the organelles of a muscle fiber to a typical body cell. Selecting an organelle in one cell also highlights it in the other. Although they are different in name and appearance, the fiber and cell share a number of the same organelles, with the exception of t-tubules and myofibrils, which are unique to the muscle fiber.
